Aimee Bauman Employee Spotlight
We are thrilled to have Aimee Bauman as a valued member of the CAISSA team. She is a Director of Wealth Planning who specializes in high-net-worth cash flow and estate planning. Aimee is the main contact for our wealth planning services. She is also a member of the Investment Committee.
To get to know her better, we put together a list of questions and had her answer them:
- What is your specialization at CAISSA?
- Aimee: I provide our clients confidence and clarity in meeting their wealth goals by creating a plan that aligns their various financial components (insurance, investments, estate, etc.) to their personal priorities. For our planning team, I specialize in topics of estate, wealth transfer/gifting, tax, business transition, executive compensation, and retirement income.
- Can you share a valuable lesson you’ve learned during your career in wealth management?
- Aimee: Above all else, clients appreciate an advisor who carefully listens to learn what is important to them and thoughtfully guides and supports them in accomplishing their goals.
- How do you stay updated with industry trends and news?
- Aimee: I attend conferences and continuing education meetings with MN CPA, MN FPA, and Twin Cities Estate Planning Council. Additionally, I attend continuing education webinars through Kitces.com and follow updates on federal and state tax laws. I am required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including additional classes on ethics and practice standards to maintain CFP certification and to recertify ChFC and CLU designations.
- What do you think sets our wealth management company apart from others?
- Aimee: CAISSA provides a client experience that is personalized to the client’s needs and does not deliver “cookie-cutter” or biased advice. Our clients see us as their trusted partner who provides support and guidance for financial success.
- What hobby or interest (outside of work) are you passionate about?
- Aimee: Anything that my sons are involved with, including music and sports. For fun, I enjoy cooking, hosting friends for cocktail parties, and trying new restaurants.
- Who would it be if you could have dinner with any historical figure, celebrity, political figure, etc.?
- Aimee: I would enjoy meeting Julia Child to learn about how she became a cherished culinary icon. Plus, Julia would have an amazing taste in selecting our dinner plans.
- What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy workday?
- Aimee: Relaxing with my family around the fire table, watching a Twins or Vikings game, and our household loves to play card games.
- What is the best piece of advice you have received?
- Aimee: Time is precious; cherish all moments with loved ones.
- Share a skill or talent that you have that people may not know.
- Aimee: In my younger years, I was a musician studying percussion, which provided traveling opportunities for tours and competitions. I now get to pursue my interest in music by coaching my sons, who are also percussionists. Being a drummer is a family tradition….we have a very loud house.
