Strategic Inheritance Planning
Jane approached CAISSA to help manage her recently inherited wealth from her parents’ estate. CAISSA helped her understand what opportunities the new wealth could afford her and what kind of lifestyle she could take on, knowing she has many years of runway for it to grow, but also provide for her needs. In addition to cash flow planning, Jane also needed to level up her estate plan to match her newfound wealth, of which CAISSA helped her strategize.
Protecting Assets in Blended Families
Two, long-term, CAISSA clients were both individually wealthy and were getting married for the 2nd time. To help support the financial decisions that they were making, CAISSA discussed the pros and cons of a prenuptial document, mocked up a combined wealth plan and talked through strategic estate decisions that would need to be made and executed.
This incorporated blending the next generation together and creating a fair representation of the family wealth. CAISSA facilitated a family meeting where all six kids were in attendance and walked through the roles of the blended estate plan. Thereafter, CAISSA tended to retitling assets to assure they aligned with the clients’ wishes and the outlined plan.
